Sweet K 10 days old - Wichita Newborn Photographer

I am getting caught up!! I'm so behind... I'll be seeing this sweet girl for her 3 month session on Saturday! Goodness, time flies! :)

I was so excited to meet this sweet baby girl!! I had just done her beautiful Mama's maternity photos the month before, so it was fun to photograph the whole family!

She gave up a bit of a fight getting to sleep, but in the end, she gave up and we got just what we were hoping for! Also, scroll to the last picture for a peek into my editing process, and what you can expect from one of my custom portrait sessions!

Newborns are definitely more work to edit! They often have acne and other skin imperfections, and issues with skin color that all need to be addressed. It takes more time for sure, but it's so worth it in the end! I absolutely LOVE newborn photography!!

Late summer Mama - Wichita KS Pregnancy and Maternity Photography

My poor blog is soooo very neglected... I promise to catch up soon!

I took these photos of this gorgeous mom-to-be with only a few days left in the summer. We couldn't have asked for better light, and she looked absolutely stunning!

Here's a little sneak peek into my editing process. Each and every image I present to my clients is carefully and lovingly hand edited. The image on the left is "straight out of camera" and the image on the right is the final image the client received in their proofing gallery. I usually spend 15-20 hours per session on editing alone!! I'll try to include these before and afters pretty regularly in my blog posts.

It was so fun for me to photograph these two lovely ladies!! This little girl is very close to the same age as my little one... it's amazing how similar they are.

We had a hard time getting smiles, so Mama decided to dance with her! It worked like a charm! Also, the beautiful blue dress she's wearing was Mama's when she was little... so cool!

I met up with the L family last month in downtown Wichita. Their sweet baby girl was only 9 months old and already almost walking!! They'll be chasing her everywhere very soon!

I had a blast, and it was fun doing a family session downtown (which I don't do a lot of)!

I absolutely love the black and white one! I'm sure she's thinking, "I'm so funny and cute. Look at all these big people making a big fuss about me!!" Hehehe!!

I had a blast with this family! I especially love getting the opportunity to photograph twins, since my younger brothers are identical twins. This was my first family session downtown, and I think I'm hooked. I love the variety of colors and textures! Mom is actually our family's photographer, so it was awesome getting her on the other side of the camera. :)

Here are a few of my favorites from a family session I shot a few weeks ago. The day started out cloudy so we were a little worried we would get rained out! Fortunately the sun started shining (maybe even a bit too much) and we got some great light. It was pretty hot, but everyone held on and stayed happy. We got some awesome images of them! I love so many of them, I'm changing it up a bit and showcasing different images on the blog than on facebook.

Mr S did such a good job and gave me some of the best expressions! It was crazy because I brought the hair bow Miss N wore, but Mom just so happened to bring the perfectly coordinating red and black dress. I swear it wasn't planned! All and all, I couldn't have been more happy with such a great session and family!

I would like to have fresh maternity and newborn samples for my new website, so I will be providing sessions to two moms and two babies. Each session will also include two 5x7 prints (any additional prints purchased will be available at a 30% discount).
